Well, words such as ‘Masonic’, ‘Charity’ and ‘Trust’ as individual words probably ring a bell in their individualistic sense, whereby the emphasis would be universal brotherhood, charity and benevolence. The collective meaning also binds these together for better good.
The Lodge Elysium Masonic Charitable Trust is a registered charitable trust, registered under the societies act, extending relief, and support, to the most deprived and distressed sections of civil society. The Trust was founded in 2005 with the main objectives of promoting Masonic ideals and extending charity to the needy.
This year our parent organization, Lodge Elysium, is celebrating its Centenary. To commemorate the occasion in an appropriate manner, the Trust embarked on a very challenging assignment. We identified village Dewri Gowada in District Alwar, whose residents were completely cut off from developmental activities. We are pleased to inform to you that not only has Lodge Elysium Trust provided home lighting systems to all the inhabitants of village Dewri Gowada, but that we have also received enthusiastic response and active community participation from the villagers who are extremely happy with these developments and are now contributing towards sustained development of the project as well.
As all our activities are for charity purposes, we have contributed substantial resources to various Masonic, and non-Masonic charities, such as scholarships to deserving poor students for higher studies, extending relief to persons affected by natural calamities, supporting the Masonic Polyclinic, the Spastics Society, the Organon Society (providing help to lepers) and many more. We have also supported the Rotary Club of Gurgaon, Qutab Enclave for rain water harvesting at Deep Ashram in Gurgaon, an orphanage established by Mother Teresa.
The Trust has successfully organized an annual corporate golf event, with a view to reaching out to corporate CEO’s, senior government officials, legal luminaries, and eminent members of civil society. The objective of this exercise was to involve eminent members of civil society and seek their support for the poor, needy & under-privileged citizens. Thanks to the support of enlightened sponsors, we have made significant contributions to various Masonic and Non-Masonic charities.
